David Wilkinson

DAVID WILKINSON

David Wilkinson was the Stafford Borough Council Archaeologist until 2003

David may be able to organise guided walks around various routes in central Staffordshire for groups of 20 or more. This may be of interest to historical or archaeological societies, women’s institutes or any club or society. It may be possible to organise a walk during a weekday evening in the summer or on weekend afternoons during late spring, summer or early autumn subject to permission being obtained from land owners. If you organise events or outings for a club or society or want further information please do not hesitate to telephone to discuss possible walks.
Walks may include churches, parks, earthworks, monuments, ruined buildings, standing buildings and canals. Permission is sometimes obtained to access to private property. Sources of information include maps, history and archaeology.
David normally charges a fee of £40 although some walks incur an additional charge of £1.50 per person.
David also gives illustrated talks using power point.  (See speakers list).
